Since the introduction of the new set of Laws for the Sport of Bowls in April, the HKLBA has received a number of comments on the application of Law 62 which concerns giving advice by the manager or coach of a team or side.
The original idea of the Law is to allow coaches to give advice in the absence of the manager however, it seems that the Law has been abused by a number of teams here.
Under such situation, the HKLBA Executive Committee has decided to propose a revision on the bye-law in the forthcoming General Committee meeting to curb such practice. Before a decision was made, the Law of side coaching shall not apply to any of the competitions controlled by the HKLBA.
I hope this clarified the situation and eliminates further dispute
