We have received enquiries about the reschedule of league games due to public events. The league panel have the following directions:
1. LCSD and private clubs will consider their environment and decide whether the green is open for matches. Notification on postponed game arrangement and closing of green shall take reference to bye-law 2.8 and 2.10.
2. If both sides agreed, the game can be rescheduled and play within 22 days.
3. If both sides fail to agree and the green is open, then the game will carry on as scheduled.
4. During the start time, if any side is short of players (less than 9 in Premier League or less than 6 in Triples League), then the default team will be treated “failure to arrive”. The game should reschedule to play within 22 days. The defaulting side has to submit the reasons and the details of their failure to arrive. League Panel will consider whether any penalty will be implemented on a case by case basis.
Member clubs should consider the safety of their members which include their travel from home to bowling greens, and vice versa. We wish all bowlers to bowl in a safe and peaceful environment.
