Directive on communication during league matches (Issued on 24/6/22)

From time to time the HKLBA office receives complaints regarding the communications of spectators and players, and players between teams. Below is a directive guideline which I hope it will reduce unnecessary misunderstandings.

1. All spectators must stay outside of the boundaries of the rink, and not disturb or advise the players in any way. For details, please refer to Law of Sport of Bowls clause 45.

2. Discussion of the head between players of different teams on the same side is not allowed until the match finishes.

3. Players who finished their game should stay outside the boundaries of the rink.

Lawn Bowls is a gentlemen’s game. We hope everyone will play the game with etiquette and enjoy it.
