Question from a bowler – Michael Tang:
Am I correct to say that “the measurement of the 14 metres for a live bowl, the 20 metres and 23 metres for a live jack is referrred as the measured distance between the centre of the mat line and the NEAREST point of the bowl or jack”.

Answer to the question :
Your assumption is correct however there is one point you need to pay special attention to. For the 23M, you need to center the jack before doing the measurement. For the 14M and 20M, you just measure from the location where the jack/bowl rested.
