The Hong Kong lawn bowls team competing in the Asia Pacific Championships in Broadbeach, Australia were celebrating another medal yesterday with Tony Cheung securing a bronze medal in the Men’s singles after being knocked out by his nemesis and World No.1 Shannon Mcilroy of New Zealand.

The first week of the Asia Pacific Championships 2019 saw 3 days of sectional competition in 4 disciplines, namely Men’s Pairs and Triples and Women’s Singles and fours. The Hong Kong Team, led by Vice-captain Helen Cheung left Hong Kong on 10th June for the Gold Coast of Australia in preparation for the 2019 Asia Pacific championships to be held in Broadbeach between 18th-28th June.

Hong Kong International Bowls Classic 2018 will be held 10-18 Nov 2018 at CCC, HKFC and IRC. Hong Kong Men will be represented by Lyndon Sham and Imen Tang. Hong Kong Women will be represented by Jenny Miu and Helen Cheung.
