Youth Sports Exchange Programme – Victoria

With the funding from LCSD, Youth Overseas Exchange Programme for YDT members was organised by Lawn Bowls Association of Hong Kong, China from 23 March 2026 – 28 March 2026 at Australia. The aim of this training camp is to enhance the YDT member’s knowledge in lawn bowls, and also to identify potential future Hong Kong, China squad players.

Target Participants: Junior Squad members and Regional Squad members

 

Selection Mechanism:
1. Conduct
2. Level of commitment demonstrated in training, national league, national competitions and voluntary roles in the team. Attendance, punctuality, diligence, discipline, etc. will be considered among other factors.
3. Level of playing standard particularly the ability to cope with the playing surfaces in Singapore.
4. Potential and scope for development with a long term view for selection into Hong Kong, China Squad. Playing statistics, drills scores, etc. will be considered among other factors.

 

Appeal Mechanism:
The appellant shall give written notice of his/ her appeal to the Chairman of High Performance Committee (HPC) within 3 days of the selection announcement. The appellant shall lodge a deposit of HK$1,000 with the LBA.

The notice of appeal shall:
(i) Set out the grounds of appeal;
(ii) Set out the outcome which is sought;
(iii) Be accompanied by a statement or statements of evidence setting out the facts of the matter;
(iv) Be accompanied by a written submission setting out why and how the appellant considers the HPC’s decision was wrong

Once the HPC has determined the outcome of the appeal, the decision, and the reasons for the decision shall be given in writing to the parties.

The deposit shall be refunded if the Appeal is allowed.
