Following our selection as a Tier B Elite Sport by the Hong Kong Sports Institute in 2013, plans have been implemented to strengthen\u00a0the Hong Kong Team.\u00a0One of the initiatives is the recruitment of a National Coach and a number of Coaching Officials to help improve the performance of the Team.<\/span><\/p>\n

National Coach (Part-time)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Duties :<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  1. To oversee the planning, design, implementation, evaluation, of the Lawn Bowls Elite Training programme in line with the agreed training and competition aims of the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association (HKLBA) and Hong Kong Sports Institutes(HKSI);<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. To create systematic opportunities for talent to emerge through related programmes;<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. To monitor athlete performance through comprehensive, multi-method assessment and regular evaluation;<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. To provide timely and critically analyzed progress reports to the Hong Kong Sports Institute and Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association;<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. To be responsible for administrative matters related to local and overseas squad training and competitions; <\/span><\/li>\n
  6. To supervise High Performance Manager, part-time coaches and assistant coaches;<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. To travel with the HK team to oversea events; and<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Reporting to VP (International) and High Performance Committee.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Requirements :<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    1. \u00a0 Holder of a recognized coaching qualification equivalent to Hong Kong Coach Accreditation<\/span><\/p>\n

    Programme Level 2 Certificate or above;<\/span><\/p>\n

    2. \u00a0 A minimum of 5 years coaching experience and proven record of achievement in coaching Lawn<\/span><\/p>\n

    Bowls athletes at national level or its equivalent;<\/span><\/p>\n

    3. \u00a0 Represented Hong Kong China at Asia Pacific level or above;<\/span><\/p>\n

    4. \u00a0 Eligible to represent Hong Kong at international lawn bowls tournaments;<\/span><\/p>\n

    5. \u00a0 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;<\/span><\/p>\n

    6. \u00a0 More than 10 years regular bowling experience in Premier League Divisions 1 and 2;
    \n7. \u00a0 Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;<\/span><\/p>\n

    8. \u00a0 PC literate in Word and Excel;<\/span><\/p>\n
