In addition to Law of Sport of Bowls and LBA bye-law, League panel follows a series of practice and policies to manage the league competitions.<\/p>\n

These practice and policies are summarized below for bowlers easy reference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

3<\/td>\nPreparation of league fixtures<\/td>\nFixture has to be fixed 4 months in advance, otherwise LCSD will cancel the pencil booking and release to public
\nClub having more than 1 side in same division will have their direct matches playing first.
\nSpecial request (e.g. exam period, bowling trip, company event) for reschedule submitted in the entry form will be handled.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
4<\/td>\nAddition of new entry<\/td>\nClubs can submit the request to League panel anytime when there is a vacancy.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
5<\/td>\nWithdraw an entry<\/td>\nNo penalty before the draft fixture is issued.<\/p>\n

After the draft fixture is issued, an entry fee will be charged.<\/p>\n

After the final fixture is issued, the club has to bear any paid green fee loss.<\/p>\n

6<\/td>\nTime for fixture approval and confirmation<\/td>\nNo advance booking before fixture approval<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
VP League will issue a mail to declare the time of fixture approval, such that public green booking starts.\u00a0<reference><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
7<\/td>\nPublic green usage priority<\/td>\nIt defines which side has the right to play on original fixture dates. Lower priority sides have to reschedule their games. <reference><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
8<\/td>\nAuto allocation
\n(for home side only)<\/td>\n		If Saturday afternoon green is full, games will be allocated to other slots in following order depending on green availability:<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Men: Sat night >> Sun pm >> Sun am >> Sun night >> rearrange<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Women: Sun pm >> Sun am >> Sat am >> Sat night >> Sun night >> rearrange<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
No women games will be auto allocated in the evening in some venues.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Opt out choice is available for home side only<reference><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Clubs can apply opt out, but not for individual side.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Private club can have separate allocation period, but must be defined in the entry form.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
9<\/td>\nPostponed game offers<\/td>\nOffers should not overlap and all in one day <reference><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Game date is Day 0 of the 22 days offer. <reference><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
10<\/td>\nReschedule game confirmation<\/td>\nThe mutual agreement is in effect once it was confirmed by both captains. An approval mail will be issued afterwards as a communication proof.\u00a0League panel will only reject invalid agreements (e.g. more than 22 days, change of venue).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Home side can start green booking as long as the agreement is valid and in effect, no need to wait for HKLBA approval mail.\u00a0\u00a0<reference><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
11<\/td>\nNeutral green<\/td>\nAny green not being the home green nor away green is a valid neutral green\u00a0<reference><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
12<\/td>\nPublic green provision and incomplete match<\/td>\n4 hours is reasonably sufficient for a league game.<\/p>\n

If booking is 4 hours and the game cannot finish, no penalty. However, if the booking is less than four hours, penalty will be imposed.\u00a0<reference><\/a><\/p>\n

After booking hours, the game will stop and postpone immediately, unless the rinks are available to continue the match. If the subsequent booking is a league match, finish the incomplete end and postpone. If the end burns during the extended period, the match will stop immediately.<reference><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

13<\/td>\nThunderstorm<\/td>\nIf one side request, the game will be postponed. If both sides mutually agree, the match can be continued<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
14<\/td>\nExtreme weather<\/td>\nCan consider postpone if reach 35o<\/sup>C or below 8o<\/sup>C<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
If one side request, the game will be postponed. If both sides mutually agree, the match can be postponed outside this range\u00a0<reference><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
15<\/td>\nHeavy green<\/td>\ncan consider postpone if pace of green is outside 9 to 18 seconds<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
If one side request, the game will be postponed. If game postpone, the challenge side will be responsible for any additional green fees.\u00a0<reference><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
16<\/td>\nGame continuity<\/td>\nGame will continue if green is open<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
17<\/td>\nRink assignment<\/td>\nIn a resumed game, use original rinks as much as possible, draw for new rinks only <reference><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
18<\/td>\nSubstitute<\/td>\nMaximum one substitute per rink. HKYDT seconded player treated as normal player.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
If two players in one team are not available in a resumed game, use one substitute plus one BLANK player.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
19<\/td>\nResult capture with substitute<\/td>\nIf a substitute is used, capture the player who played most number of ends <reference><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
20<\/td>\nScore cards<\/td>\nKept by clubs in hard\/soft copy.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
VP League will advise to destroy the scorecards after the season.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
21<\/td>\nRegistered player<\/td>\nThe registered players list is in effect once a side starts its 4th\u00a0match. <reference><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
No change of registered players after the 4th<\/sup>\u00a0match starts.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
22<\/td>\nTransfer of player<\/td>\nCase will only be considered on extremely rare situation. So far, no successful application since 2008. <reference><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
23<\/td>\nPrize money<\/td>\n40% of collected entry fees goes to prize money, while 60% goes to LBA income\/fund <reference><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Prize money allocation:55% for champion side, 35% for runners-up, 10% for champion team.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
24<\/td>\nPrize eligibility of a winning side<\/td>\nPlayers must play at least 1\/3 of games<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Trophies awarded to each side\uff083 teams\uff09 : Premier League \u2013 max 16,\u00a0Triples League \u2013 max 11,\u00a0Mixed Fours \u2013 max 15<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
25<\/td>\nPromotion\/ relegation for more than two sides<\/td>\nAdjustment to make up number of sides for each division in a new season, more than two sides may be promoted or relegated. <reference><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
26<\/td>\nYDT Secondment<\/td>\nClubs can apply to loan YDT players only when they are less than 9 players in premier league, or 6 players in triples league. The loaned players will make up the side with minimum players, and the league game can continue as scheduled.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u2013 max 3 loaned YDT players per side, max 1 player per rink, loaned player cannot play skip<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u2013 cannot be an ex\/current HK squad member<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u2013 the application should arrive at least 3 days in advance notice<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u2013 no specified player, selection of player by YDT coordinator.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
