The Hong Kong International Bowls Classic started in 1981 for men and 2009 for women. With the dedicated effort from the organizers, the Hong Kong Classic had been recognized as one of the most prestige outdoor international events in the World Bowls annual calendar.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Over the years, there has been many overseas spectators and supporters came to the Classic but found not much to do apart from watching bowls, shopping and sightseeing.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Having borne this in mind and after talking to spectators and supporters both overseas and locally, the organizers had done studies in the availability of venues and attractions to visitors, the inaugural Classic Carnival was successfully launched in November 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Dates of the 2018 Classic Carnival will be, tentatively, 7th – 13th November 2018. Venue at Kowloon Cricket Club and Kowloon Bowling Green Club on Cox\u2019s Road, Austin Road and Jord<\/span><\/span>an<\/span> Road\u00a0on Kowloon Peninsula. Format of the Carnival will be Fours or Mixed Fours and participating teams will be drawn into groups for round-robin games. Depends on the number of entries, finalized details will be issued.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Overseas teams participating will have to make their own way to Kowloon and arrange their own accommodations.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Entry fee for the Carnival will be HK$8,000 per team <\/strong><\/span>which includes meals during games, local transportation, carnival souvenirs, carnival dinner, prizes and probably, a night out in the evening horse-racing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Teams participating shall wear identical team shirts and white trousers\/skirts.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is an invitation open to all bowlers. If you are interested, please complete and return the \u201cIntent to Enter Form\u201d to HKLBA office by email on or before 22 June, 2018 and we will let you know when and how to pay.<\/span><\/p>\n
