At the last Council Meeting in October, it was resolved that no match should be scheduled for the 2-4-2 Pairs Championship on Sunday, 2nd February which is the Third Day of the Chinese New Year, as necessitated by the revised National Championships Schedule issued on 14th May 2013.<\/span><\/p>\n

The dates will also be required to accommodate the travelling schedule of Hong Kong Squad members participating in the training camp and qualifying events of the Australian Open in February in Melbourne, Australia, which came into light after the Council meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n

The dates for the 2-4-2 Pairs, which are subject to alteration, will be as follows, noting that the two dates in February may not be used if any of the Hong Kong Squad members participating in the Melbourne event is involved:

12th, 19th & 26th January; 9th & 16th February; 2nd, 9th, 23rd & 30th March; contingency 29th March.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In consequence, the Champion of Champions Championships which is usually held in March may have to have mid-week evening fixtures, likely at 6.30 p.m., and may commence in the last week of February, in order to avoid over-crowding the weekends in March.
